I originally began practicing yoga just as a means to increase my flexibility. I took up skydiving in college and gravitated toward the discipline of freestyle, which is like dancing and acrobatics in the sky. Unfortunately, many years of competitive swimming had slowly tightened my body up. I knew that increasing my flexibility would assist greatly in achieving my skydiving goals. However, yoga soon became so much more than being stretchy and bendy. In addition to the physical – the mental and spiritual benefits quickly came to light and it has since become an integral part of not just my skydiving career, but my entire life.

If you asked me a few years ago, if I could ever see myself teaching yoga, I would’ve said no. I feel like a perpetual student, there is always still so much to learn. So how could I possibly be a teacher? But fast forward and I have since graduated from Yax Yoga Concepts 200 Hour Vinyasa and Hot Yoga Teacher Training, is a featured yogi in the documentary Why We Breatheas well as a Lululemon Ambassador. She is currently pursuing her 500hr TT through Yoga Medicine with Tiffany Cruikshank, already completing the Chinese Medicine and Myofascial Release Module. Angela is also a Reiki 2 certified practitioner.

My practice is ever-growing and evolving. As a teacher you are still just as much a student and often times the student will teach you so much more than you teach them. I am currently based in Durham, NC and am excited and honored to have you share your practice with me.
